First Period

Teaching practice I

Well, in my second time teaching I was not as nervous as the first time. But I was kind of afraid because I had to develop some activities that required too much time. I started the class with an activity in which students had to guess a word related to the category food. I asked some students to go to the front and described the word that they had in a piece of paper which I provided. The group continued the same they always are participating and I really like their attitude they are not judging you well, at least not in front of you. This time I felt more confident than the first time. The activities that I develop at the beginning helped me to catch the student’s attention, they were kind of tired and stressed before the class because they were in grammar class in the previous hour.

I started the class at nine but that day I had to wait for them like 10 minutes because the classroom is in the fourth floor and most of them were taking their breakfast. But even though I was afraid because of the time I could develop all the activities that I planned. The experience was nice!!!

  2. Hi, Conie. Reading some of my classmates´ teaching experiences is advantageous, so I can conclude that almost all of us have faced similar situations. But every time you are in front of a class you have the chance to prove that you can do it. Keep on, Conie, you know that learning how to do something well is to enjoy it.”

  3. Hello guys, i know late comers affect the development of our classes because we have an agenda and to finish with the activities we have to be very carefull with the time, but we have to go a head and try to manage the situations in a correct manner. Remember this is a learning process so as time passes we will get to know how to cope with these issues in the classroom. Blessings for you all!!

  4. Hey that's very nice! Food is always a good topic to develop since students participate by providing their own opinions about what food they like or dislike. Your class was very good, and yes, you were very comprehensive with your students because being in the fourth floor is tedious :/. I hope you keep doing the same, and congratulations for your class =D!
